Well it has been a very busy festive period for the band which all started on 18 November with us playing at the Thurnscoe Big Local Winter Wonderland. This followed on from our successful trip to the memorial park in the summer. The band played two well received slots sharing the stage with a local choral society.
Early December saw the first of two evenings entertaining the diners at Toby Carvery, Rotherham. As you can see from the pictures below there were Christmas jumpers aplenty!
On 17 December we had the pleasure once again to support the carols at the morning service at Harthill Methodist Church. Madi Rowe was invited to read the story of the angel appearing to the shepherds. There was even time for a little “Snow Waltz” midway through the service!
Our final engagement of the year was was the joint concert at the Maltby Miners Welfare Institute on 21 December alongside our friends from the senior band. It was great to kick off the concert with some great Christmas tunes and even get the audience singing along. Solos from Ben Folkes and Madi Rowe were very well received.
